I called NHRDA and asked for specs for a cage, all good, he directed me to the NHRA specs based on MPH and ET. I read the entire 09 manual.... needs to be read again and again.
10 and slower and under 135 mph install a bar, over/under cage, purdy simple. Until we look at the weights and general specification section. These freakin roll bars/cages are designed for 2800-3600 lb car? With a crankline at or under 24" center?
Anybody talked to SFI yet about the added weight of our trucks? Are they working on anything? If SFI changes/tests we'll have to change our cages, at our cost.
I requested some sections but felt it was prudent to let others know, if the cage is wrong...or the spec changes. I am under the impression from my chassis builder they simply tell you to remove and replace parts as required to be compliant.
