So I've browsed thru old posts and seen what is likely the answer. I have an 03 2500HD. Im loosing a gallon of water a day in the system. The water is escaping in the area where the transmition and the engine come together. I recently had an Edge Evolution installed. The motor runs approx. 210 however a few days ago it got up to 220-230. The engine has approx. 230,000 miles. Most likely will take to the dealer, but would like and insite from experts. Thanks.

Could be a head, could be the back plate in the mid plate for the crossover, could be a freeze plug,

I like the freeze plug idea. Can anyone tell me how to pressure test the cooling system, and check the freeze plugs for that matter.

Get a cooling system pressure tester. Its a hand pump that goes on your radiator cap. You slowly pump it building pressure in the system then look for leaks.
