I'm in the parts collection phase of this build. 2001 Suburban 2500 that's been in the family since about 2004. Currently completely rebuilding suspension and then will start body and paint. Found a LB7 of the same vintage and have ordered all the short block parts. Callie's compstar crank, Wagler rods and Mahle race cast pistons. This short block will probably be overkill for this trucks intended use but I don't want to due this twice! Aiming for 600hp to rear wheels and it will be a daily driver. Will be towing a 12500lb toy hauler and will be traveling all over the country once I retire.
