Another slow day at work yesterday gave me time to install new foam, leather and seat heater in my driver seat bottom. I bought all the parts from theseatshop.com and am very happy with it all. I wish I would have done a new seat back cover too because now it doesn't quite match...

A local shop called me and needed help on a lb7 they were returning to stock for a dealership. Guess who now has almost new 75% over industrial injection injectors and dual cp3!!!!. Got the injectors for free since they were going back as cores and the twin pump kit for $400

I wouldn’t wish those injectors on my worst enemy.

But good deal on the pump kit.

I understand what your saying. But installing industrial injection fuel system parts is like taking random unmarked pills when your sick and saying, some medicine is better then no medicine.

That is a very apt comparison.

Took them to a buddies shop today and got them tested and rebuilt 2 that had really high return rates. Im going to put them in and see what happens, if they only last 10k miles oh well, they were free.

I’m really not trying to be a dick. Or rain on your parade. But when they cause you to melt or break a piston or cause a runaway condition and grenade your whole engine what did you save?

I’m all for saving money especially on diy projects. But cheap fuel system parts never ever end up saving anyone any money......

I do get that you are just looking out for me! My thoughts are they came out of a running truck, were flow tested to verify condition and repaired, what really could be wrong with them that will cause catastrophic failure? Just because industrial EDM honed the nozzles 75% over doesn't mean they are going to magically make my truck blow up imo... I could see your logic if i was just crossing my fingers and sticking them in.

Well that is true. To each their own. It is good that you at least had them checked out.

Got started on it last night. Lb7 core support and coolers going back on for proper AC function along with the injectors and pumps and some powdercoating.

It's together and running perfectly! The PPE stage 4 with almost 100k on it isn't a fan of the power though . I will be doing a budget rebuild on the trans in the near future. I'm thinking Raybestos GPZs for C1 and C2, alto G3s for C3 and C4, ratiotek pump and shift springs, new unmodified C2 piston, new internal harness and thrust bearings and any bushings it may need.
