You'll be fine, this is mine with 3" shackles, overload pulled and t bar bolts out. 285/55/20 toyo at2 on 20x10

Hey guys I have been pondering the idea of lowering my lmm. But I have some questions about it. Why does everyone take out the overload spring? Just to drop it more in the back? If I did a 3 inch shackle drop, would my airlift air bags still work? I still want to be able to use my truck for towing. I just got some 20x9 gear big block 726mb that I'm going to be running this summer with 285/55/20 with the large fender mod.

3 inch belltech drop shackles and keys decranked all the way, debating on removing the overloads yet

It's an 08 435 and I farm with my dad and uncle as well as work as at diesel shop in the off season of farming

I've been thinking about getting a set of drop keys to lower the front about 1 more inch and then running drop hangers to get the rear end down a little more. If I use the lowering keys to go lower than I already am (stock keys bolts removed) will I have alignment issues? Also I'd be making my own c notch, which from my understanding I should make a bolt in kit rather than welding it in is this correct?

You guys without overloads and 3" shackles. Did you shim the axle?
No. The shackles are what changes the leaf angle. When you pull the overload it just drops down an inch. The angle isn't too extreme with the shackles. It seems like it is until it's bolted up.

This is 3" shackles and the front with leveling keys at the moment. I have lowering keys on the way.

I'm sure if you want to shim you can but most dont.

Good info..

Idk why other folks had to shim? Possibly they were grenading their shit from excessive wrap due to the one less spring and no traction bar?

Yokes should be parallel or it has a lot stress on the joints and shafts and uneven speed pulses

Drive line angle is key, obviously too much angle is bad but parallelcis also bad. 3* down on front yoke and 3* up on rear yoke is a good # to be at or else ujoints won't spin correctly and burn up
