LMM HIGH Oil Pressure

Just installed a CTS3 Insight Monitor and looked into my Engine Oil Pressure as it seemed high on my Gauge Cluster. Its even higher on the Monitor.

60 at idle on the Cluster at Idle and 80+ with throttle. The Monitor shows 80 at idle and 100-105 at Throttle.

Oil is Rotella 15-40 conventional and is full. Oil change was done in March.

Assuming its a sending unit going bad, if so where do I find it? Youtube n such havent been any help.

The sending unit is on the driver side of the block, near the back where the oil filter and cooler attach to the block.

Might be a good idea to put a mechanical gauge on it first to verify the CTS readings.

Good advice. I've seen a local LBZ that I've worked on that actually spikes that high sometimes in cold weather. It'll blow the gasket out of the oil filter.
