Anyone ever play with these? I’d like to get rid of the progressive exhaust brake on my ‘16 and make it more like the lly-lmm with basically on and off depending on rpm only.

Anyone got any tips or suggestions or feedback if they have tried it?

My plan was basically to set vanes to 100% from 1400 rpm up across the whole table.

Less vane equals less breaking. If you notice as you go up in elevation the tables are tighter to help with breaking.

Yes I know. Hence why I want 98-100% from 1400rpm up instead of like 50,73,85 etc as they are set up right now by GM. I was just asking if anyone had issues with it on an lml. I did it this way on lly and lbz.

Going forward though, I tried it and there doesn’t seem to be any issues other than the trans heats up on longer hills. It may do this anyways however. At 2400rpm on an 8% grade for 8 miles with 9000lbs behind me.

I have not had a problem with changing those on LML trucks. One I did it Texas wanted more aggressive breaking since he had 37” on his 2wd and after tuning with the speedo corrected it felt to him like his exhaust brake wasn’t working as well. I made it more aggressive and he then felt it was like what he was looking for then. He regularly tows 10k plus.
