Here’s is the background to my issue, when plugged into my EFI live and running the scan with engine running I have some PIDs that are reading weird. Just a couple to mention are the injector balance rates in which 4 or 5 just read the exact same which are way off talking 43,44,45 mm3, and if any slight change they copy each other, ECT that reads only -22 F even with new sensor, etc. I decide to check the wiring to ECM, I unplugged ECM and put it my volt meter on some of the bare pins in continuity mode and placed negative lead on known good ground and I’m getting continuity with multiple pins on the C2 connector of ECM, injectors 4,5,6,3 all beep to ground so for verification does that mean short to ground and ECM needs replacement? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

IIRC only read balance rates by themselves not any other PIDs

Correct, I’m just and they read in spec when looking at my CTS 3but when I plug into my EFI Live there’s other things that read weird no matter what. So decided to do testing on ECM itself and that’s when I discovered the short to ground on those pins on the ECM itself with it unplugged.

That is what I am thinking since I got those results. I am wanting some advice on that diagnosis considering how expensive they are these days and that would make sense as to why a lot of those parameters aren’t responding. Truly appreciate the replies and help.

Well I can’t get it to show the live video so I’m sorry about that.

Do all your parameters work with the cts3? Looks like the wrong pid selection to me.

I don’t know about your ground issue. Assuming everything reads correctly on your cts3, maybe you need to update your firmware on your efilive.
