I have saw a few threads about broken torsion bars with plows. A buddy is wanting to put torsion key lift on his truck. He plows every winter with it. Is it safe to have torsion lift keys or turning the bolts up on a plow truck? I told him to wait until I asked how to do it properly before he pulled the trigger on them. It's not a duramax. It's a 97 1 ton srw gas truck.
Thanks
Greg

No problem, Most everyone plowing with a GM has to crank the keys somewhat to compensate for the extra weight. Obviously it will not ride as well with the bars cranked or aftermarket keys and his front end geometry (Angles) will not be ideal for longevity. But its not going to hurt it any worse then the million other trucks running around with cranked bars, not plowing IMO,,
