Fell down the rabbit hole today and found this. $374 +48 shipping, Holy crap

Has anyone seen one of these in the wild, and how much money did the owner have. I realize it says 2001 up, not correct. If you look down the page there is a replacement for $138.

Am I being a cheap ass for not buying?

I've been around the ones by K&P Engineering. They work but for convenience sake and multiple vehicles I don't bother using them, many people use them on race cars to continuously monitor for bearing material etc

First thing I see that a daily driver would be interested in knowing is the micron rating. For the racers and pullers, piece of mind in being able to dump the filter and look on a regular basis is critical.

Looked, and it will fit the newer L5P motors for thread fitment, but do not know about the gasket. They changed the filter head slightly.

I've been around the K&P filters as well, not this brand. Personally I don't like them for a daily driver simply from convenience, nobody has the time to properly clean these when doing an oil change on a Saturday afternoon before going somewhere.

Also the filter linked will not fit 01-19 engines, only 20+ as the filter/filter threading changed in 2020.

I personally would recommend an AmsOil EAO or Fram Synthetic Endurance filter and roll on. They're a 20uM absolute synthetic microglass element and utilize high quality seals/silicone anti-drainback valve/great construction etc.
