LBZ into LLY truck.

Long story short > LLY has a hole in the block, returning the truck back to stock and sell. Needing a stock motor/trans to drop in it. There is a LBZ/6 speed combo for sale in the classifieds.

Now Ive read the old thread from 2010 and it is a little confusing. At first it sounded like there were only 3 wires that need to be swapped in the UBEC. Then Ben stated that there were actually a few more wires that need to be swapped postitions as well. Any clarity on this subject?

What else would be needed? Intercooler, tubes, ECM, TCM, Engine harness,Tapshifter is all I could think of at the moment.

Any more input on this subject?

If I remember, you have to swap the gears on the crank and swap the tcm for the six speed, not sure on any wiring.

Gears on the crank? Why would any of that change? Ive heard of reluctor wheel swaps between the years

Im dropping a running LBZ/6speed straight into the truck. Not trying to convert an already existing LLY to an LBZ.

Yaa, the reluctor wheels are different teeth count.

He would be using the lbz/and ecm set up no need to swap reluctor wheels
