well i have another problem my 03 lb7 is surging at idle and while driving down the road hooked it up to the tech 2 and i noticed that when it surges at idle the desired fuel rail pressure is 4900psi and the actual is as much as 6000psi to 7000psi when it surges, it gets annoying when i am driving i am thinking its the fuel pressure regulator but i have had it priced and its fairly expensive so i want to make sure thats it any response or expirience would be greatly appreciated thanks alot

Yep, MAF won't cause spikes in the fuel pressure. Maybe someone on here will have a used FPR for a good price you can try.

Yes, that sounds like a bad FPR. Huckstorf had them for a good price last time I knew.

They're alot cheaper at a Bosch service dealer than at a GM dealer. Call anyone in your area that is a diesel fuel shop that is a bosch service dealer. The Bosch part # is 0-928-400-535 for a LB7. We have them too if you need them.
