For anyone curious. Here is the Denso 12698552 apart.
The solenoid appears to be molded to the body. I did not attempt to remove it. I need an unbroken assembled injector for my core deposit.
I couldn't seem to get the actuating rod out either. If it even comes out.
Has anyone rebuilt one of these before?
If so, where did you get the components?
Were they a matched set or did they need to be lapped?
How will this affect the injector flow rate printed on each injector?
What is the nozzle cap torque spec?
Someone out there rebuilds these as you can by them new, re-manufactured, or rebuilt.
Although, the cheapest I have found is $200 plus $100 if you don't have a core, for an authentic new GM Denso. At that price it may not even be worth trying to rebuild.
