Appears that my intake heater on my 16 has went out. Truck had 74k on it. I thought for sure it would be covered under warranty but they are telling me it’s not. Thought I remember reading that it’s a part of the emission system but I could be wrong. Little over 500 bucks to replace it. What’s you guys thought on the warranty?

I would think it’s emissions related. Pretty sure it throws an emissions related code.

Actually just found it on gmc’s website under the limited warranty and owner assistance information. My truck is a Chevy but obviously shouldn’t matter. I’ll take this in tomorrow and show them. I was pretty adamant when I was there that it was covered under warranty. But was told he couldn’t find it on the list.
Warranty, it's emissions related, service writer must be a rere...:roflmao:

Thanks I have a screen shot and the webpage saved on my phone. Shouldn’t be a problem. I’d hate to think he ( service writer) is trying to stick it to me. The dealership is under new ownership and I like the guy running it now and I’d planned on buying a 2020 Denali there.

Apparently this part of the emissions warranty is only good to 70k. Truck currently has 75k. So I’m out of luck in this case unless someone knows something that I’m missing in the warranty literature

Based on Brazooka post, it has no asterisk next to it so its 15 year/150k mile warranty

EDIT, i take that back. the literature, if you bring the whole guide up says otherwise. Im actually seeing it only good for 50k as its not a PZEV. little difficult to understand correctly.

Sorry about that. I had double checked and my guy said it's different for me because I'm a " commercial truck"

Wonder if it's actually a business owning the truck or just registration
