installing gauges

i am installing gauges on my 02 and was wondering where is a good place to power them when the key is on and what wire do i splice into on the dimmer switch?

ignition fuse. and im not on a dimmer so idk.

pull out the dimmer switch and checker power at each wire ..you might need a mulitmeter to do this ....but id just hook it to a constant hot if i was you...good luck

I did this on my 02 and hooked them to my dimmer switch. If memory serves it's the wire closest to the drivers door on the connector in the back of the dimmer switch. I want to say it was a brown or green color. If you can't find it I can post a pic of mine

i ended up hooking mine just to a key on fuse cause i couldnt find anything that would only turn the gauges light on when the truck lights are on
