If you were to buy a new "remaned" set of lb7 injectors from whoever, how can you tell if they are the new injector body instead of the defective old one? It's kinda stupid and counterproductive to reman a bad body......

Its the ball and seat that was changed, not the actual injector body. IIRC, the Bosch remans with a rebuild date from Oct 2009-on should be the newest parts. Not sure on what parts are being used on remans from other companies

The date code of the reman will be the first set of numbers on the third line. It will be a set of five numbers. The first number will be the year of the reman. I understand that from 08 and later on was suppose to have the newest parts which included a chromed hardened seat that isn't in the earlier versions.
Here were the prices/options I looked at in July 09 when I replaced my injectors... I went with gmpartsdirect.
GM Dealer $350 + tax = $371 each ($2968 for 8)
Local authorized Bosch dealer $248 + tax = $262.88 each ($2103.04 for 8)
GMpartsdirect: $182 + shipping = $220.47 each ($1763.76 for 8)
Another place to consider that I've learned about since I did mine is PartsZoneOnline.

tell me one of them is not Peninsular. There rep. on these LB7 injectors isn't the best but I hear they're cheap.

Definitely not them, both of these guys are two very good dealers. Bosch remans only.
Spill the beans man. Is it a secret? It would be good for their business if you tell us who they are...
