I've noticed some trucks appear to have a hole in the inside of the fender so that the truck can draw in cold air. My LLY has what appears to be sound deadening or insulation of some sort next to the airbox instead. Is this normal?

I haven't had any issues with my S&B CAI, that requested the foil cover to be removed. I also have no plastic fender well. I need to get one back in there. It ripped out one day when I had to trim it for the tires, got coughs on the tire and rip.:roflmao: But I haven't had any issues

I'll have to peel the foil off and see what I find. But it feels like it has sheetmetal behind it. We shall see.

I removed it on mine, and no ill effects so far. Might cause a problem running through really deep water would be my only concern, but I never do that.

Dynamat

I removed the Dynamat looking stuff last week and now I'm throwing a MAF error P0101 considering putting it back just to see if that fixes it.
