Would this hitch design be very strong? It would adjust up and down about 4 inch pivoting in the top pin/bolt. Or might be stronger pivoting on the bottom so it pulls on the link instead of pushing?

I wouldn't trust it. You may be able to use heavy enough materials to make it hold but some simple changes to the design would make it much stronger.

Well this would be modifying a pullingproducts.com, I could easily open up the 5/8 hole. But I also thought about just keeping the hitch how it is and adjusting the body up and down to get ky hitch height.

I think it could be strong enough if you use the right shit. I'm sure you have looked at this already but be sure to double check your rules. Nothing sucks worse than building something cool and badass then it not be legal. Haha. :thumb:

Ohh I gotcha, I probably woulda known that if I hadn't bought this hitch second hand. Actually got this brand new PP.com adjustable, brand new danville bump stops AND 3/4 tread procomp xterrains 13.5-33-18s all for 500 bucks! Anyways do you happen to know what the distance from the hook point of the 2 positions hitch is to the centerline of the hitch pin?

No problem.

The major advantage to the two position hitch is the ability to get the hitch under the truck due to the lack of an upright. You would have to slide the receiver forward for maximum advantage.

I'm not sure how your rules are written regarding the hook point distance from the rear most part of the truck.
