Is there anyway that if I go to a dealer they can tell me if my pickup has had the head gaskets changed or not. I bought it used and am wondering its been done already.

Unless there is an issue with it there is no reason to change it. So whether or not it has been changed seems irrelevant. It either functions as it should or it needs to be replaced.

I was just wondering if it had the updated head gaskets. If they were replaced then its one thing I wont have to worry about. I worry a lot.

Drive it till blows....then fix. Check for studs, bottom 4 are visible. If none, then hammer down and plan on headgaskets and studs shortly. :D

If they're anything like mine they will start to leak pressure into the cooling system before they let go completely. I'm doing them over the winter and have been running them slightly Hurt for a couple months now and they haven't gotten worse.
