Any idea what would make a turbo look like this? Is it corrosion?

Stock turbo with about 100k. Motor was just built 18k ago.

Some are pink and some are green, that's what I've seen anyway. Its just a marking from the manufacture I'm thinking.

That comp wheel does look on the sad side.

The air filter had fallen off sometime in the last 18k... I had no idea when because it was in a sealed intake box (Volant). Luckily I'm in there to replace the turbo with a Danville Stg2R anyways. Sucks that I can't resell the turbo for anything but a core though...

I'm hoping the turbo took the brunt of the crap and not the cylinders... I am also hoping that the oil/grime that had built up in the IC and intake from before the PCV was rerouted would grab some of the dust too.
