Has anyone else noticed that GM's SPS2 per vehicle subscription sucks butt now? Used to be two years per VIN. Period. Then I think they changed to two years or number of programmable modules programmed (IE: If you have 20 modules that can be programmed, if you program one module 20 times or every module once, subscription gone). Now it's 30 days or 'The number of programming equals the number of programmable modules in the vehicle'.

WTF GM? I wish there was a way to get an offline version of SPS2, like with the old TIS2000.

Well that sucks... It used to be tied to the vin and you could program an module to that vin for up to 2 years. I had to call and have them add my dads 07 as it wasn't in the system when they swapped from the old one to the new one.

Then I had a special request that for some reason isn't in the old SPS offline version.

I dunno, doesnt really bother me. Never had to use that many flashes before on a single vehicle nor have we ever had one come back within the 2 years requiring an update flash.

Still cheaper/better than chrysler wytech. You wanna talk about expensive

Ford is still king here. You can do all kinds of programming in vehicles without needing a special flash. Wish gm allowed that

Yup, used to be that. Then at some point they changed to 2 years or when the number of programming events matched the number of modules in the vehicle, now 30 days.
