What would be the pros and cons of using say a gated T3 66/71/16ss over a billet 80/96 T6 1.32ar in a twin setup?

Looking to make say 800rwhp in a street truck while keeping EGT's and drive pressure in check

I used a gated 66 with a gt4718. Worked well. 800 hp would be no problem.

Tell him more about driving and spooling characteristics Kelly. He is really interested in compounds especially since we stepped up the fuel. He doesn't want a lazy pig to drive around.

I've been working on my t4 .91 66/80 compound setup with an external gate. Ill find out soon if that'll be laggy. Thought about switching to a t3 setup. My 66 as a single spooled quite well. I don't see why a gated 66 t3 wouldn't spool even quicker.

I run a 66/73/.91 now as single, in 2009-10 I had a .68 t4 dual gated housing on my 66phone with my twins instead of .91 a/r, my s480 had the 96/88mm turbine wheel but I had a machined out t4 1.10 a/r housing on it.... with that twin combination it spooled faster than my 66/73/.91 was does as a single

I had 36 lpm DDP nozzles, I believe a 60%ish, injectors in it with a Socal 3388 cam and Stage 2 heads, I made 978 corrected, 948 rwhp on a Superflow with injectors at 3450 pw and 34* timing, 26,000 psi rail, and peaked exhaust temps at just under 1650*... needed bigger injectors to get shorter pw...

Oh yeah, boost was 65 psi on that dyno pass and drive was 90-95, but 65 psi boost was at y-bridge, found out later I had 80-85 psi boost pre stock intercooler, lol! Cracked it 3to times and kept fixing it

thanks for the inputs like shane said spool up is my biggest thing i drive this truck most daily and don't want a lazy pig. I'm thinking a 74 turbin wheel should help along with making sure the waste gate ports are good and open and full travel maybe have the SS housing polished to keep the heat in?

As for fuel i'm running dual pumps and 100 overs
