So the truck has been delayed until Monday because the shop couldn't get the drivers side front stub axle out without ruining the splines. They had to overnight a new stub axle from California. Also, Royalty Core told me the grille I wanted was a RC1 based on a picture I sent them, we overnighted it and installed it and when they sent me the pic, it was the wrong grille. The actual grille I wanted was a Royalty Core RCR. We ordered it and will install it and send the RC1 back to them when that happens and I will make sure that I don't have to pay any restocking or shipping fees either. Also, Trail Ready sent me my Rock Rings and they will be here on Tuesday the 30th. Lastly, I ordered up a Fastway Flash E Series HD 8" drop hitch with a 2.5" receiver tube and a 1,800lb tongue weight rating and a 18,000lb tow rating that just arrived yesterday along with the separate but important locking pins I also ordered.

Truck has been delayed since Monday waiting on the differential place to finish up the front diff gear install and deliver back to the installing shop to get the truck finished up. They just called and said expect it ready to pick up tomorrow. Fingers crossed.

Negative on Sema. Truck delayed again two more days until today because the diff shop didn’t get the lift shop my diff back but almost two days late. Diff went in and then the shop got everything put back together and then broke a torsion bar adjuster bolt somehow so they ordered another one to be installed this morning. Then off to the alignment shop. They swear I’ll have it back today. Got the rock rings, fastway hitch and new GMC floor mats ready to install when I do get it though.

Got the truck back. Looks great without the rock rings but the shop lost my two front hub caps so they’re ordering more of those. Also, grille is getting replaced with the RCR which is also ordered and MotorOps overcorrected my speedo so it shows 10 over actual at 75.

Also, ride is incredible with 67lbs front and back and 20PSI in the rear bags.

Badass!

Curious as to what shop quoted for hours for lift install. For my 16 ‘rado not coil overs 6.5 b d s they said 18hrs after I had them add on these parts since it was torn down I would think in the time doubling.. but what do I know.

I’ll have to look later. Dropping it back off there’s huge clunk coming from lots of play in both front axles where they enter the diff.

OK so turns out the passenger side CV boot was torn and grease it sprayed everywhere so I replaced it with a new GM part today at the shop and then I had them remove the plastic splash guard which was slapping around between the new drop crossmember and the regular crossmember causing a lot of noise. So for the clock is gone but Time will tell. Also I was able to change one of the PID displays on my CTS to to the fuel flow rate and when I went full throttle on the freeway today I was able to verify the change in maximum fuel rate between settings verifying that my switch is working.

Bad news, clunk not gone. I still believe it is the front shafts having too much play and flopping around in the front diff. I’m going to drop the truck off at the shop this week and tell them they can keep it until it’s silent because at this point it’s pretty much unbearable to drive and it’s driving me nuts.

curious how the KING rides. I had same setup with FOX and it rode like shit and i lost all my teeth:roflmao::roflmao:

So far only have about 600 miles on the lift but I’m really liking the Kings provided they are not the source of my clunk. Plus, they look bad ass most importantly.

Forgot to update this. Turns out there was a loose upper shock mount on the driver side causing the clunk. Also, 3 of the KINGS had to be rebuilt within 7000 miles because they were leaking oil past the wiper seal. All is good now no noises and they ride pretty well.

Never got a chance to re-dyno truck after the lift but I will do so after I get it back from having all of the fuel and air installed this week at BTD in Meridian, ID. Hoping for north of 700+RWHP and 1,200-1,400FtLbs/TQ
