Engine won’t start.

Just got back from camping trip and parked my trailer. Turned off motor and unloaded my truck. About 20 min later I started the truck and it started just fine. Put it into drive and when forward about 20 feet and engine died. Tried to restart but the truck would only crank and would not start. Any ideas.

Year/model of truck? Mods? Codes? Latest services done? Did you at least check the fuel filter for prime yet?

I had a power loss at a red light. Just kinda hiccuped. The next red light it died. Called a friend to help with towing. Called a Diesel Friend and he told me to change the fuel filter. That's what I did. Primed it up and it cranked. Was told that I needed to carry a spare around with me.....he said it will happen again. Change it every oil change. I'm still learning about my 2003 GMC 2500HD. I hope this helps.
