I wanted to get some opinion's on some bearing clearances for my LBZ.
Stock block and caps with ARP Main studs.
Stock Crank polished and keyed
Callies rods
I am not looking to push for anything extreme with this. I think tops this will see 625-650HP It's just meant for some extra fun and some extra towing power.
That being said. I currently have an H on the block side with an HX on the cap side and I have .0029-.0032 bearing clearance with an actual mic and bore gauge.
With Standard H on both sides I at .0022 - .0026
The rod bearing clearance is .0025 - .0026 with standard H
I also came up with .003 on the thrust. Measured dry and after taking out the high spots on the bearings.
I have shimmed the relief spring in a new GM pump .200 as well as pinned it for insurance.
Was planning on trying some regular 15-40W Oil and see where I end up for pressures.
Am I on the right track with where I am at clearance wise for my goals???
