I've been thinking about running a Macbook. How does EFI perform on that system. I saw you can run a version of XP on the Mac as well. I'm curious as to how this would work with EFI Live.

Has anyone tried this or have any experience/knowledge about it?

as you said mr LBZ, you CAN run windows on the new macs. this is because they now use almost the same processors as PCs do these days. it is a pretty simple process to load windows for somone who knows what they are doing. just ask around if you do do this seup and have questions about the Mac OS or loading/booting into windows :D

I got a macbook pro and if you run a program parallels it can run any windows program, i have efi live and one more program i use for work on there and thats it. Its a really nice way to do things, way better than having a PC. I got a nice copy of a certain OS you would need to run efi live, i can get you a copy too Dale.

EFI runs great on the Mac, but there can be a few minor quirks when running through an emulator like Parallels or Fusionware. I run XP on Parallels and never had an issue loading tunes. However, a few times when logging and the notebook would go into sleep mode the connection to the V2 would be lost and I would have to reboot Windows.

The simple solution to this was to use Boot Camp and run XP natively on longer logging runs or at the track. Pretty much bulletproof that way.
