there's a guy on DP that is in FL and he builds the duraburbans and tahoes in the $20-30K range. If you want an Escalade it'll obviously be more than the standard burban.

Seems like a pretty good guy.

Bought it and Love It!

Bought the conversion March 2010,
2005 2500 Yukon XL SLT Autoride, 2005 Duramax Allison compete drive train from GMC Sierra. All were brand new parts at time of assembly, it was actually titled in 2006 as special assembly vehicle. Current title is not salvaged, ebay insisted on the salvage designation. Only none stock items include Edge Juice Attitude and Killerbee IOH induction overhaul kit (prevents thermal feedback/overheating issue inherent in some of the 2004.5-2005 models). Used it to pull 5,000lb trailer and atv's to West VA from Illinois. Ran awesome, we love it.... replaced my wife's 2001 Yukon XL SLT autoride. Built by Bill Armstrong in Ohio. Bill is a peach of a guy who really knows his stuff in this regard, I consider him an artist. This was his personal vehicle and he sold it because he has built himself a brand new 2008 Suburban LTZ Duramax... I saw it when I picked up the 2005 and it's a beauty. Bill has built over 25 suburban/Yukon conversions. He says key to conversion is mating same year parts, body, drivetrain. All stock GM parts throughout. You could just ask your question here, too. There's some pretty smart guys on this forum. My bet is DuratotheMax would know exactly what you'd need.
