Recently picked up an 05 LLY that has tunes unknown and DSP5 OS already installed. Should be the stock OS ending in 8758 based on VIN. The truck is laggy and smoky. I have some excellent tunes off an 04.5 LLY I had (OS ending in 1668 and DSP5 OS 04166805). My question is, will any DSP5 OS full flash over the other? Trucks are identical with the exception of the 04.5 was a ECSB and the 05 is a CCSB. I want to use the tunes that I have from the 04.5 on the 05. Is it possible to just write over them with my V2 or will I need to try and run a script from the 04.5 DSP file and find a stock tune for the 05 and convert it from there? Also, will I need to use V7.5 specifically or will V8 work? This truck has shown to be very funny about reading/flashing with the fuses.

I would not directly flash the different OS over another but run the script or manually copy over the tables. There is often times tables or other parts of the OS that is different that EFI Live doesn't give you access to that could cause all sorts of issues using a different OS.
Completely understood there. I know there are limitations as to what types of OS EFI will allow you to flash over and change without having the PRO unlock. So sounds like the best thing to do is create a script from the 04.5 LLY DSP5 file and find a stock tune that should match the VIN of the 05 LLY. Convert the stock tunes OS to the upgraded DSP5 OS and then apply created script from there?
So create a script based on the comparison of the 04.5 stock file beside the DSP5 file and then apply script to the stock or upgraded OS of the 05?
