Donaldson 550518 oil filter

Today I got a 5 gallon pale of schaeffers 15w-40. The oil filter I bought has always been Donaldson 550518 i notice when I took off the old filter there a 8 holes inside the filter,the new filter i got has 6 holes is this going to make a difference in filtration. I seen a Baldwin oil filter #1441 for a duramax with 5 holes.

The number of holes in the top plate of a filter doesn't affect filtration at all. They probably just changed the design of the plate to reduce manufacturing costs or something.
