Coolant line from upper rad hose to pass side

I pulled my S366 off the other night and there was a coolant line looped from the upper rad hose to a metal line right next to the pass side fuel rail. I am wondering what the purpose of this line is? Can i remove it and cap both connections?

My truck is a 2007 LBZ classic.

Yes you can,i had mine welded up at the steel elbow for the upper rad hose and welded the lower pipe that runs from the t stat housing/coolant crossover down to the top of the water pump.

There is a rubber hose right behind the fan pulley you can do a rubber cap right there.

That is the line that used to cool the factory turbo. You can safely remove it.
