Clamshell Puller ???

I was hoping to reuse the bearings as setup bearings....at least the ones on the pinion. Not to concerned about the ones on the center section. I could cut those off.

I have never used that style. I use a big bearing separator and hydraulic press and does not damage pinion bearing.

My buddy has a bearing separator. We are gonna try it this week. I have a 12 ton press. We'll see how it goes. Worse case I'll buy the eBay puller and resell it when I'm done. I was worried the eBay puller would be complete junk and not work.

I got mine from East Coast Gear Supply, looks like same one and have used it on Dana 60s all the way up to rockwells I did have to buy a different cup for the bigger sets of bearings. Don't remember which color it was
