I have an 03 lb7 with 122xxx on it. I just had a 4inch exhaust, egr delete, fass fuel pump, s&b intake, and efi live installed this week. I picked it up yesterday and it runs great, after about 45 miles of driving my check engine light came on. Code is p0089 fuel pressure regulator performance. With the light on it still runs great, Is it still safe to drive? And any ideas where I should start looking? This is my first diesel so I'm pretty new. Thanks in advance guys.

Sounds like fuel pump pressure is set too high or too low. I forget which one that code is

Is it safe to drive on? It's been driving great even with the light on. My gauges aren't in yet but it doesn't seem to be getting too much or not enough fuel.

Does it lope at idle at all?

Do you have a pressure gauge on the lift pump? Which pump is it?

No it doesn't lope at idle at all. It is running great. I have the fass titanium series 95 gph fuel air separation system.

Turn you lifter pump pressure down to 7psi. If it is alrighty at its min then you need to cut 2 coils from the regulator spring and turn the pressure up to 7.
