LB7: Cheap Hooker Build Thread

Well I am not very good at this stuff, but I bought a 03 CCSB a while ago for a pull truck project, and figured I would throw together all the photos and call it a build thread. It pulls here in ontario in out stock class, it has a lift pump, exhaust, intake tuning and a good set of tires :thumb: The truck has 340,000 KM and appears to have factory fresh injectors! Runs good and has held together, even got me a first place at one event so far! It is rough but does its job!

How far down do the suitcase weights hang down? Sorta hard to tell in the upside down pic. & everytime I rotate my phone it auto flips the screen & I don't feel like turning that off. LOL

Looks good! You should put on a better hitch and move it forward. Then put on a roll pan and sled stops. Not much money and it really makes the rear look good

yessir have the hitch just gotta get a idea for a roll pan! got that, traction bars, hoops and u joints sheilds and some wider rims on route!

Haven't replied to this in forever, I drove the truck this winter, but am looking at working on it to get it ready to go here soon. My plans say move up a class to what we call our Pro Street diesel, 2.8" class. I have been gathering parts slowly and am currently looking to pull the trigger on some bigger items. I have gathered most all the safety stuff, ATI Damper (no install kit though ), trans blanket, T Case Brace, and a pump rub kit. Hoping to dig into it in the next week. Also need still a E Fan setup, and a air kill. Tires will most likely be duratracs again, and some H2 Wheels. Maybe planning on pulling the trigger on a HSP S400 kit, and a s463 or s472. Im beginning to realize a truck that drives and tows is not a good pull truck. Lol, and possibly a converter to put the power down to the ground a bit better and a E Locker, or something similar. Cheap hooker is getting expensive.. lol :spit:

Ya for sure, we use the OTTPA rules up here, not sure what youd use out there!
