Changed stock to drop in gt3794 do I need to update tunes?

Hell I installed a gt3794 turbo on my truck along with a y bridge. Truck wasn’t getting above 2k no cel. Maf wasn’t reading so replaced it and truck was great. Got it in the next day back to the 2k max rpm. This time maf is reading correctly between 35-60


Do you think it’s possible that the new turbo is causing all this?
