I got busted at my recent inspection and emissions for having a straight pipe. I have a California lb7. I baught it with a straight pipe on it. It has a 5" how can i put the cat back on and can i just get a universal one?

Get a used stock front pipe and install.

I'd knock the center out of it.

If they just do a visual check you can get a dummy cat.. If they do legit checks you'll have to put a factory one back on.

Something like that in the general area of the factory converter and bam they never care again.

Like a sniffer check.. I have zero idea how they test them, but if visual inspection is all they do then one from the link I posted will work.
