LB7: Can a bad water pump cause coolant pressure?

Now it's visibly leaking rather from the water pump or near it specially after the mechanic tried to seal the head gasket with steel seal now you can actually see it dripping but it losses the reassure when it's parked

Mine would do the same thing. Some mornings hose was hard some mornings it wasn't. Eventually starting blowing out the overflow tank on warm days. Ended up with head studs,head gaskets, And a valve job
