Not sure if this is/was your issue, but had a hanging brake on a front caliper after doing a thorough brake job (removed everything, cleaned everything, painted everything, new bushings, bolts, sliders, brake lube, etc.).

Turns out the caliper slide pin holes are a blind hole and when I applied the brake lube to the pins and holes, the lube got trapped in the blind hole ahead of the pin (which just happened to form and airtight seal in the housing). It was enough to cause the brake to drag after the caliper was no longer floating. Took me a while to figure it out. Removed excess lube from hole, re-install, and everything was OK after.

Next up torque converter!

More like trans with my luck with this truck. Only one in my family that runs a dmax. It has seen the most down time and money put into it since I have Owned it compared to 4 cummins a power stroke and 2 cummins swapped fords.
I can't wait to have my old Dakota back together as it has made me more money and has never left me stranded and I bag the shit out of it. May not be pretty but running bigger tires than my dmax on the same lift.

The brake was kinda hanging up before I worked on it this time, now it is good. Only has 30,000 km on these breaks since I did than and they look brand new.
