Braided brakelines and slotted rotors

If I remember correctly when I tired this a little while ago, It had a little bounce back before going down smoothly.
Mine was really bad, when I had the motor out I found that the accumulator was loose causing the pulse, I replaced it and my brakes were solid, also did stainless lines and stoptech slotted rotors, with carbon pads (that produce a lot of dust) but man does she stop good. I haven't been able to push past my brakes and ive gotten her up to 20lbs at the light
Hey Mike, I've got SSBC big bite rotors (drilled/slotted) with EBC yellow pads, and SS lines, the pads don't dust too bad and stop really well...the rotors are about shot after 15k really hard miles, and they cracked at every hole w/in 8k miles
They allowed me to hold a couple more PSI of boost while staging, but that's it...I've got a super tight converter that doesn't allow me much more than 12psi before I pull thru the brakes...I can launche a little harder, but I couldn't tell ya if it really made any difference in the 60' or trap/e.t
It's a solid upgrade tho, even if the benefits are not fully seen on the track, the truck stops quicker, has better pedal feel, resists brake fade better and all in all makes the truck seem "safer"

I'm running the ACdelco slotted rotors and EBC yellowstop pads. Definitely a day and night difference to stop my truck on 37" tires. It slows the truck better than my wife's 2011 Acadia. I replaced by brakes and flushed the fluid in late spring and have about 8k miles so far. Done some towing and fast driving, the brake does not fade one bit at all. I didn't need the trailer brakes when I was towing, trailer weights around 7k lbs and it stops it like there was no trailer behind it. I wish I had replaced my hydroboost to the LML version and installed power steering cooler (gm 15295847), the brake feedback would have been much better. Overall, I'm happy with the brake quality. I chose the ACdelco slotted rotor because I know they will not crack like the drilled/slotted rotors do and they were pretty beefy compared to stock rotor.
What kind of benefits do you see with an lml hydrobooster? They are almost $50 cheaper than an 01-10 booster.
So napa is showing an lml hydrobooster for $36...and then it shows a hydrobooster for an 05 for $230. That can't be right.
Not sure about napa crap but an OEM booster must be for a 2011 a 2012+ will not work.
You're saying if I end up doing the conversion, I need an '11 booster?

I wouldn't buy one from Napa. They are all reman and junk. Get oem from RockAuto.
There's not a whole lot that can you could "rebuild" on a hydroboost except for the accumulator and the seals.
Well Im on my 3rd napa booster and this one is done after 2 years. The first one was really loud, took it back. The second one chattered after a few hundred miles, got another one for free. This one is out of warranty and it leaks, kicks back and loses pressure when braking. All of them were remans. It must be pretty damn easy to screw up the rebuild. Lol. For the difference in price, I feel its worth getting a brand new oem unit.
For when you replace your power steering pump, may be of some help.
Yeah after changing it 3 times in less than 2 months I have a hard time recommending that anyone buy a Napa booster.
