"Duramax Billet Main Caps"
As most of you know, high horsepower Duramax engines have been showing signs of main cap walk, leading to premature main bearing failure.
The Duramax Billet Main caps will add substantial strength and stability to the lower end and allow us to push the Duramax to even higher power levels.
A word of caution, these caps are not a bolt in. They will require an "Align Bore" machining operation. Which is different from an "Align Hone" which is what 95% of the automotive machine shops usually do.
The crankshaft center to camshaft center distance is very critical on a Duramax. Changing that distance could result in the cam gear not meshing properly with the crank gear.
