bigger turbo with ppe programmer

over winter i'm planing on getting a bigger turbo i haven't decided on what kind yet but how well would a PPE (HOT+2 E.T. Xcelerator) Programmer work with a ak5 or a gt4094r or something with that caliber. i know all of you will say get efi live but it's just a question? thanks

One of my boss' customers has a 06 lbz with ppe tuning and a 4094 and loves it..

i think ppe has a seperate tune you can get for the 4094 also . you would be fine .

Youll have to buy the PPE VVT delete box to make it work. You ddidnt used too but they must have changed their tunes cause mine defueled like a bugger after i updated.

I also recomend the McRat HTT turbo, Ive had great luck with it and its spoolup is nearly instantaneous. Supports 600 hp easily.

when i put my 4094 on with the PPE hot +2 the turbo was super laggy. i updated to EFi live and everything was fine.

you will have to find a way to deal with the lack of vanes in your new turbo

ah thanks for the info it all makes sense! and trent no thanks! a couple of my buddies have that for there cobalt ss and they like it! but i guess you guys made up my mind i'll just stick with getting efi live!!! thanks again!

You can definitely use the PPE if you want something plug-n-play.

the PPE runs like complete Dog $hi* with the 4094. I think the stock turbo could have out ran it.
