Not that easy. You can buy the Chinese ones on Ebay and they are worthless. Bosche units run close to 1500.00 and then you need a subscription from GM which costs about 1K.

Do you have an autocal? That should read trans codes.

X2 just need to make sure it was loaded with the dtc's for gm

Basically OP... scan it for codes for $2500 or completely rebuild it $3000. lol Seems like an easy decision...

I've got an Autocal. I thought it would read the TCM but if not I'll have the dealer read it. They don't have to warranty the trans just tell me what's up with it and I'll see where I go from there.

How'd you do that. Tech2Win is for MDI and it's not loaded.
