Aftermarket oil pumps

Who has them how do you like them. any failures reported with theese pumps or down sides to them. about how much more psi will one of theese put out ? looking at mabey replaceing mine with one tht will give me some more psi Thanks

I have alittle over 30 psi at idle and almost 6o to 65 when driving down the road. (thats with a stock pump)

A local guy can't run his truck when the temp is below 40 deg F without warming the oil first. The oil filters seals don't hold up too long.

So Cal.
Mine is about 80 psi when cold, 45 warm idle and about 65-70 warm freeway.

u must be running some tight clearnace mine never ran any where close to tht high stock


I ran close to the same stock mybe 2 psi more if that after rebuild, I'm running just under 2 thousands rod and main clearence just alittle loose then factoy specs.

He is running the DPR unit on his LLY. When the temp outside is cold( below 40f), at idle the factory gauge is pegged at over 100psi.

is tht the only offering at this time or are there other options out there? any way to regualte the dpr unit

As far as I know, DPR is the only offering at this time. Not sure if the pressure can be regulated or not. I thought there was a pressure regulator in the front cover, but not sure how much adjustability there is.

I was thinking that the guy making the pumps was having the guys send in the relief valves and he was modding them to be able to run in colder climates.
