I was always incredibly happy with the Goerend converters.

Damn just thinking about it makes me almost want to build another Allison.

They are fun to build and converter tech is ever evolving. Years ago the J was the "hot ticket" for an S476/87, now we have options like the BXn10 and AX etc that all couple much much harder after initial stall.
