Hey guys! Got a 2005 GMC duramax. About 2.5 years ago I put a ARE topper on my truck to keep my dogs out of the weather. I train for retriever games and it is the main use of my truck Any way the gas pistons that hold my side windoors open have come off the "knob" they are attached to the window on. The "knob" is revitted into the window and that has pulled out some how. ARE says it is part of the window so is only covered by the 1 year part of the warrenty. Any ideas on how to reapair something like this or has anyone had a similar problem? Thanks!

I just went out and looked at mine, it's 8+ years old and the rivets are still tight. Looks like the only fix would be to drill them out and put in new rivets or sheet metal screws. Tough spot but doable...
