Picked these little gems up last week :woott: Ordered them in October.

Two Freedom Arms Model 97's. One 4-1/4" 45 Colt with an additional 45 acp cylinder, and a 5-1/2" .357 with 9mm and 38 special cylinders. They say not to shoot .38 spl out of the .357 cyl due to the small diameter they cut the chambers to and associated fouling that causes problems.

Freedom Arms is known for their big boomer Model 83 in .454 Casull, 475 Linebaugh, etc. I already have a Ruger SRH in 454 and that thing sucks after the first two cylinders of ammo so I passed on those type of calibers, and just got a couple guns that should be nice shooters.

They are purdy, that's for sure. Yes those are 25 yd test targets from the factory. Not a chance in hell they'll do that in my hands :spit:

Nice i had a S&W xvr 460 that shot 460,454,45C. I loved shooting it and even took it out west to shoot prarie dogs. I even bought all the reloading stuff for 45C and 460's becuase i shot it so much. 45C has to be one of my favorite bigger loads to shoot.

You got a close up pic of the 9mm cyl??? Kinda curious how they make an auto round work in a revolver. I got the idea of it, just wanna see how it looks.

Nice looking pieces by the way.

I don't have a picture, but there isn't a counterbore on the rear of the cylinder since 9mm doesn't have a rim. The rounds headspace off the case mouth. In other words, the cylinder is bored so the cases sit flush at the back and stop against the mouth of the case.

Mmmmmm. always have loved the freedom arms guns, probably the most well built revolvers made.
