Man I am loving this 472/491 compound setup vs the old 369/488. Feels like a decent single when it hits, just a blast to drive. Its smokey with 250's below 2100rpms, but lights very well after that. Trapped 104mph in the 1/8 on a 2000us tune. I am thrilled so far.

Do you need to wastegate a setup like that? Looks very nice and great power for sure..

Yeah I didn't see any either.. And I agree, I'll never run one if I ever try to do a bigger compound setup.. I was just curious

No gate yet. May end up running one when we add nitrous. 1.0 housing on the 72mm and 1.45 on the 91mm. Drive pressure gets pretty steep above 4000rpms but it's hard to tell when your hitting 85-90psi boost and the drive pressure gauge stops at 100psi. Lol. We are working on figuring out a data log system so we can play with tuning on it and see the correlation.

Nothing wrong with gates if they are setup right. I have two 45mm gates pulling from the up pipes and dumping into the hit side before the two atmosphere turbos. 90# boost and 90# drive.

That is exactly what we were discussing so we can maintain the divided pedestal benefits. Have you had any issues dialing them in as a pair?

A wise turbo man tought me that you dont want 1:1 drive pressure. 1.2:1 is ideal. Seems like gates are hit and miss. I tried them and learned the head aches fast. But also do a lot of testing.

Any new updates on the 72/91 set-up? I'm looking at doing a similar set-up. Has it been in a dyno yet? Curious how much power it would make.

We threw it on a dyno for giggles when the track got rained out. Made 1199hp but I am not sure the dyno was loaded right. The tune 500us smaller was only 40hp less. Lol

Ran a 10.31 @ 133mph, 1.56 60ft, on the street tune. 6400lb race weight. Max effort had some shifting issues and ran a 10.28 @ 136mph, 1.64 60ft. Once we get the trans right we are confident it will cut a 9.xx fuel only, especially after a diet this winter.

my triples sxe369/s472(0.9 housing) sees 100boost/135drive at most. Very streetable and boost comes on easily around 1800rpm, running LLY200's(or close to a 250% lbz)
