So I have plans to install twins on my LBZ (built engine). I managed to get my hands on a BD 3794 stage 2 (67.8mm comp wheel) for cheap.
I have decided on a S480 with billet wheel and 1.19AR housing as it will be street driven and towed with frequently. Normally everyone runs the 1.35 housing.
After talking to many vendors, the majority have suggested a 3794 with the 64.7mm compressor wheel as the smaller one.
Is the 3794 stage 2 on BD’s website the same as a normal 4094 Garret turbo? I am a little confused.
What sort of spoil up time will I see if I decide to keep the 3794 stage 2?
I am looking for something with really nice spool up time. I don’t want to have to wait to spool the smaller turbo constantly. Looking for something with really nice throttle response and street manors. Aiming for around the 800-850HP mark. I am at about 3500’ elevation.
Engine specs are as follows:
- Wagler ported heads
- Stage I camshaft
- 42% over injectors
- Engine built for 1000HP
Thanks
