Been making more progress. Truck is almost done. Got my lock up box, lift pump, & turbo blanket installed. Removed factory fuel filter and fixed small oil leak from turbo drain fitting into oil pan. Went to HSP Saturday to get my traction bars installed. Turned out they were 11" to long. Joe will be making me a new set Sunday and I should have them on by the end of the week. He also convinced me to get them powder coated the same color as my piping. He's a pretty convincing guy so it was hard to say no lol. Just need to clean the interior and give it a good wash and wax and it should be ready for the track soon.
I finally got that engine bay cleaned up. A power washer wouldn't cut it. Had to use some degreaser and a brush to scrub everything off. Looks a lot better now.
Got some more HSP goodies today. Traction bars are now on. Joe was pretty good at convincing me to powder coat them the same color as my piping. I'm pretty happy he talked me into it. I love he way it looks. I can finally launch it and see how it does.
I have around 800 mi on the trans now after the rebuild. Decided to drain the pan and change the spin on. Also did a fast learn on it and wow does it shift fast and crisp. Going to take it out tonight and get a few test hits in. Then off to the track tomorrow to see how it does.
