1st run ever....

Well here is the story...
Went camping...
The next day I was going to town without the boat and RV. Saw a beater motor home with a flatbed and a race car stuck in the intersection.
I hooked a U and asked if he needed a tow. Sure...I pulled his motor home AND trailer to the track and he got me in for free. Well guess I ought to run the 1/8 since I'm here. Teched the truck, painted a number on the window and lined up for a couple passes. I did not have my water/meth or the engine fan, dropped the spare tire and that was it. 80 PSI in all 6 factory stock tires. I though I'd be faster, but guess not. The track is at about 4600 ft altitude.

What do the experts say? What should I do next time? Should I have gone faster?
I still have a very very abrupt hit/shudder at about 60-65 like the engine sucked an air bubble or something. After that hit, it goes fine. I didn't have a chance to watch the boost for the other problem I was having. Still need a turbo vane sensor to test if mine is bad.

I agree. For the weight of the truck and the altitude of the track, I would those are pretty good times. Should be mid-low 14s.

Truck is just about 7,500 lbs. I though with all the mods, I'd be in the 13s though. Guess not. Need to get my water/meth going again, maybe 50 hp/100 tq.

What tune were you running? Did you log it? What kind of rail pressure and injection pulse did you have?

Nope, didn't log. Just a spur of the moment thing while on vacation. I ran Pat's tune and one by Dynarex. Pat's ran a 9.33 with a .6 R/T at about 1 mph slower, and the spare tire still in, and Dynarex was 9.03 with a .09 R/T and no spare tire, so pretty close. Its hard to tell the difference since I don't know how to launch, air tires, etc. Its all a guess at this point.
