Has anyone took the full console out and put the jump seat in? Bose truck factory leather buckets. We just had kid #4 and Ive been looking for a truck with bench seat up front. But thought id see how hard it might be to do it this way.

Any pointers?

I don’t know how much of the stereo you will lose other than the sub in the center console. You will need to change the passenger knee bolster/glove box section. But a jump seat will bolt right in. I did the exact opposite in my “04 way back when. Depending on your color, I still have the knee bolster/glove box section from that truck. It’s charcoal.

I think im tan interior. Sad that I cant even remember what it looks like inside.

The radio isn't a big deal to me. Figure a truck with 420k miles it probably could stand some parts replacement in the audio area.

Could I relocate that sub behind the back seat? Or maybe move it and amp back there?

The jump seat will bolt in place of the center console. The only thing will be the wire harness to the console. You can pull the amp and wires out of the console and shove the extra wires and amp under the dash.

The sub mounts in the console. It's the amp that you need for the factory system to function. Shouldn't have any major holes in the floor as the harness lays on top of the carpet.

Pretty sure you would need a fill plate on the dash for aesthetics.

Also, I would grab the jumpseat and armrest from a 2008-2011. It bolts right up and it's 10000x more comfy as an armrest and gives better storage.

They moved the cup holders onto the lid didn’t they? Instead of floor level like the 01-07.

If he can’t find a package deal with a jump seat and glove box/knee bolster or gets a newer seat, I have mine from my ‘04. He’s got pics already.

Correct - three across up top. Bigger arm pad. Huge upgrade.
